We have a giant maple tree in the center of our neighborhood and I noticed this year that the leaves are not nearly as full as it normally is. This year in the spring we got less than 10% of the leaves we normally get. The leaves on the lower 2/3 rds of the tree are filling in ok and have no spots at this point but the top 1/3 of the tree has sparse leafing with some bare branches. All the branches that had sap on them had died and there were definite wounds and splits on them, these were on lower portions (roughly 5 ft. from ground and above) and were removed about a month ago.
